Paolo's
family immigrated from the Philippines in 1987 in pursuit of a better life
for him and his sister. They eventually settled in Lakewood in 1990 after briefly staying in Guam, Hawaii, and Long
Beach. His parents, both engineers, are now living in Las Vegas.
They have worked tremendously hard to be able to give him and his sister a
life full of opportunities. Currently, Paolo is getting his Masters
in Business Administration while his sister Pam is attending nursing
school.
Lediya's family immigrated to the U.S. in 1979. When the Khmer Rouge took control of Cambodia, her mother and father escaped to France with her two brothers. Lediya was born during this time. At six months old, her family moved to the United States to be near her maternal grandparents. They all eventually settled near Long Beach, CA. Currently, however, Lediya's immediate family is spread out across the country. Lediya's father is living in Oakland. Her mother is a businesswoman in Cambodia who comes back to the U.S. several times a year. Her brother, Steve, is living in Boston with his wife, Nancy. And her eldest brother, Lyno, is in Bellflower. Click here for more family photographs. |
